Although Catalyst is known for their top notch iPhone and iPad cases as well as their Apple Watch protection, they are also known for designing and creating products that protect the rest of your iOS accessories. Two of those accessories are ones that I use every single day, yet, I always seem to forget about protecting. My AirPods and my Apple Pencil.
Ever since Apple released the AirPods and the Apple Pencil, I’ve always just used them and not even thought about protecting them. When I think about how important they are to my Apple ecosystem and how much I use them, I don’t know why I didn’t think about protecting them sooner. Maybe I just thought there weren’t any products that would actually work. Or maybe I just didn’t think that there were any products that would actually look good. Having tried catalysts protective cases for both of these devices, my opinion has now changed.
Let me start with AirPods…
My AirPods are sleek and small and they sound great. I like the fact that I can slide them in and out of my pocket easily and I can take them just about anywhere. Enter, the waterproof case for Apple AirPods. Even though I didn’t think it would, this case allows me to maintain the same sleek profile and the ability to slide my AirPods in and out of my pocket without making it too bulky. The premium rubberized material feels good in the hand and allows me to slide it in and out of my pocket very easily. It also maintains the ease of access to the AirPods themselves. It’s extremely easy to do with one hand and it takes no extra time at all to access them. The charging port is easy to get to and it even works with wireless charging cases. My AirPods case stays very clean and dust free meaning that I don’t have to clean it as much and I don’t have to keep cleaning out the lightning port on the bottom. The dust and lint in any pocket seems to not stick to the case. The added addition of the carabiner on the case allows me to clip into my backpack or to my keychain if I don’t want to put it in my pocket. The case does provide a good degree of water protection leaving me more confident to use my AirPods and take them out when there’s a possibility of rain without worry about them getting wet and getting damaged. I do believe that the case has also saved me from a few drops of my AirPods case. I’ve dropped it a few times and no damage has incurred thanks to the case.
and my Apple Pencil…
Thankfully Catalyst has an option for protecting your Apple Pencil as well. The Apple Pencil grip case provides a unique experience with premium materials and an excellent feel. Though I love the way my Apple Pencil feels in my hand with no case on it, I do like the slight change of pace that comes when using this case. Sometimes I find my hand cramps up after working for long periods of time on sketches or on drawings with the Apple Pencil. The change in feel and thickness with this case allows my hand a break from the normal fatigue that I would normally experience. 
This case also provides a handy clip allowing me to attach the pencil to my iPad case or backpack without worrying about it getting lost or damaged. It also comes with a small rubberized holder for the lightning adaptor for charging.
With both of these cases, it’s nice to know that my investments are protected but I can still enjoy them to their full extent without sacrificing anything major.
