Google Pixel - All You Need to Know About The Release Date, Specs, Leaks, and Prices

Google is set to take the stage on Tuesday, October 15th, to show off its just-in-time release for the holiday hardware line. Pixel 4 is shaping up to be the most ambitious smartphone Google has ever launched.

For now, what everyone can say for sure is that Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are coming. However, with the myriads of leaks and rumors revealing nearly every inch of the upcoming smartphone, the world might not be surprised by much when the phone officially unveils on the 15th.

To be fair—and probably to get ahead of the already plentiful leaks, Google itself revealed cropped images of the phone earlier this year. However, that did little to stop the flood of rumors and early leaks of the devices.

Besides, everyone anticipates more than the usual pair of Google Pixel 4 and Google Pixel 4 XL. It could be right to expect a Google Pixel 4 XL 5G too.

There are a couple of reasons why the search giants want to introduce their 5G phones earlier instead of waiting for the next-gen networks to mature up. There is more evidence that Google will have at least something to show.

Below, we've made the most of Google Pixel 4 leaks because on Tuesday everything is getting official. Some of the details are confirmed officially by Google while others are from strong hints through leaks and render sources.

Key Features of Google Pixel

Offering a suite of features with an almost unmatched level of software polish, and packing the most impressive camera tech on the market, Pixel handsets have done a lot to earn adoration with the tech community at large. And with Pixel 4 on wait, you should expect even more.

  1. Trypophobia-inducing circle-in-a-square camera

Images Google was planning to show off the Pixel 4 camera capability have been leaked in advance of the presentation, which hint at which new features the smartphone will bring to the world of photography, including astrophotography, macro shots, night mode, and even more.

Google is seemingly bucking the whole one-camera-is enough bit for Pixel 4 XL, with a dual setup. Given what the company has been able to accomplish with a single setup, you can expect impressive imaging from the camera of the device.

On closer inspection, it appears the bumping house two cameras—which might be a first for the Pixel line of phones which have stuck to just a single rear snapper to date. Along are a camera flash below them (with sensors to its right) and another sensor to the top of the square.

The Pixel 4 XL has a dual-lens camera on the front and a triple-lens camera on the rear. It isn't clear about the camera specs, but it is more likely that it will include a 16MP telephoto lens and improved color capture, or it can have both 12MP primary lens and a 16MP telephoto one as well as a DSLR-like attachment.

  1. Face Unlock and motion sensors

The brand new Pixel 4 will allow you to execute quite calls and skip songs with hand gestures using the new face unlock and monitor sensor features.

  1. Google Pixel 4 Specs

It is more likely that the brand new Pixel smartphone will come with a Snapdragon 855 chipset along with 6GB RAM—up from 4 GB.

Alternatively, the phone might come along with 64 GB or 128 GB storage and a 2800mAH battery for the standard model and a 3700 MAH one for the Pixel 4 XL.

The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL come with android 10. Besides, Google 5G is also rumored for the devices but seems considerably less likely.

Other rumors include a new emergency service feature and build-in audio transcription capabilities, which could be a boon for people who carry out interviews for a living.

The Pixel 4 will come in standard and the XL version. There is also an orange version continuing Google's experimentation.

  1. Lack of External Finger Print Scanner

Another key point we can glean from the official Google Pixel 4 image is the lack of fingerprint scanner. Every previous Pixel smartphone to date has had a rear fingerprint scanner. But Pixel 4 lacks the external rear fingerprint scanner which points to two possibilities:

  • The brand new design might come with an in-display fingerprint scanner
  • Or This pixel series might entirely lack fingerprint scanners in case Google opts to go all-in on face, retina or voice recognition

A video highlight the top bezel shows lack of 3.5mm headphone port and the glass back that is all one color rather than twp-tone as the previous Pixels exhibits.

  1. Raise-to-talk feature

The smartphone could introduce a “raise to talk” function that initializes Google assistance whenever you pick up the phone. The feature would make it far much easier to use than holding the button or unlocking the phone first. It isn't sure if this feature will be available during the launch date or if it will come on a later update.

  1. Google Pixel 4 Price and Release date

For years now, Google has opted to release its Pixel lineup in the latter half of the year, after the usual roller coaster of the smartphone releases from the first half has died down.

Google has officially announced that it will unveil Pixel 4 on October 15th. It is more likely that Google will take the opportunity to launch a few other hardware devices at the same time, which could include the long-rumored but still insubstantial Pixel watch. Hopes it remains.

In terms of the Google Pixel 4 price, the cost of pixel handsets has been climbing over the years now. With extra features included, and the general emphasis on a premium fit and finish, the pixel 4—or at least the XL model could be the first on line to break the $1000 mark.

We might also see different storage capacities offered at different prices. And if the alleging 5G version of the Google Pixel 4 will be available during the launch day. It isn't clear how this model will look or operate as every phone maker is taking a different approach with their 5G supporting edition. One thing is clear with some certainty, it will be expensive.

Conclusion

The colossal amount of leaks leaves a lot for the world to discuss. Whether the motion sensor and Project Soli are truly innovative as Google hopes they will, you cannot blame Pixel team for trying to use technology that the world has never used before.
